February with Nico Romo Hospitality Group

We had a very busy February at NRHG! From wine dinners to oyster classes, Mercy of the Chef and our annual staff holiday party!

Every year on Superbowl Sunday we close all of our restaurants and throw a party for our staff. We enjoy each other’s company and get to know each other across the three restaurants, let loose and unwind while we celebrate all of our hard work from the year before. This year the event went down at Snafu Brewery in North Charleston. We had the best time with them sampling their different beers and enjoying their space.

  • We were nominated for NINE Charleston City Paper Best of Charleston awards. Vote here! Voting is open through March 8th.

  • We hosted our Alsace Wine Dinner highlighting wines from the Alsace region of France with 3 delicious courses. Our March dinner will be announced to our event email list this week! Click the link to join.

  • We held our second oyster class on our back patio, Carolina Oysters + Cocktails! We highlighted North and South Carolina Oysters with the help of Holy City Oyster Maven, Isabella Macbeth, and Julie Davis of Lady’s Island Oysters. It was our pleasure to have Alexander Helms of High Wire Distilling Co. with us to discuss locally-made spirits to pair with the delicious oysters, as well! Shout out to Oyster Candle Company for the gorgeous oyster shell candles.

  • We held 4 Mercy of the Chef dinners with unique courses with wine pairings created by our amazing Bistronomy team.

  • At Laura we were thrilled to have been nominated for TEN Charleston City Paper Best of Charleston awards. Having been open for less than a year, we couldn’t be more excited! Thank you to everyone who nominated us! Voting is open through March 8th.

  • We hosted the Summerville Chamber for their monthly Young Professionals Happy Hour event, and we are so thrilled to be a part of the Summerville community.

  • At the end of January, we held our Alto Piemonte Wine dinner highlighting that region in Italy, and in February we geared up for our next one which will be announced in the coming weeks. Sign up for our event list to receive booking info first!

  • We participated in the Summerville Dream Dessert Stroll with Main Street Reads and served our delicious Salted Caramel Budino.
