NICO Rhône Wine Dinner

The evening of Wednesday, April 19th guests gathered for our last wine dinner of the season! In the winter and early spring, we love hosting a smaller group for a wine dinner event once a month. In April we highlighted the Rhône Valley region with the help of Aleph wines.

Duck Pâté

Our first course was a beautiful duck pâté served with pistachio, carrot, toast points, popcorn blossoms, and housemade mustard. This course was paired with a gorgeous Trignon Marsanne.

Stuffed Quail

For the next course we served a beautiful quail stuffed with andouille dirty rice, potato lyonnaise, cherry gastrique, and haricot verts. The light spice of the dirty rice was complimented perfectly by the Usseglio Lirac.

Éclair

Finally, for dessert, our guests induldged in a delicious house-made Éclair stuffed with cream, strawberries, and topped with chocolate! The final wine pairing was a lovely, Paul Jaboulet Ventoux.

We are so thrilled to be able to host these more intimate events and connect with our loyal guests on an even deeper level, as well as highlight different areas of France, without leaving the Lowcountry! Please stay tuned, because while we will be taking a break for the busy summer season, we will be back!
